Bali.
I must say that Bali is not somewhere that’s been on my radar. I know people who go there love it (and I have friends that certainly do), but there are other, more deserving places to visit.
Or so I thought.
But now that I’ve gotten serious about my writing, I stumbled on a writer’s retreat that’s happening there. So I signed up.
And the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival is happening at the same time, in more or less the same location.
Coincidence? I think not.
So… in a few short weeks, I’ll be heading off to Bali to feed my mind—and hopefully soothe my soul at the same time.
And maybe, just maybe, I’ll finally finish my novel.
(I’ll be there for two weeks. One week will be spent in the mountains—Ubud—and in the second week, I’ll be in Sanur.)

Please make sure you register with smart traveller. I always associate Bali with the terrorist bombings that killed so many people in 2002 and 2005. Of late I’ve also been more aware of rabies in Bali so please do not touch the animals.
Will do, and won’t, Gary. I appreciate your concern xo
My family and I are living here in Bali for the time being. We just love it! You are going to enjoy the time here so much. Keep up with the great work and pursuing your passions. Live unstoppable!
Thank you for stopping by my blog, Rhonda! Even though Bali hasn’t been on my radar, I am really looking forward to my two weeks there. I’m certain I’ll be a Bali convert 🙂
Bali has been on my radar for years. I cant wait to visit. Your retreats sound like so much fun and productive at the same time. Enjoy! Looking forward to hearing about trip.
Thank you, Tricia. I’m very much looking forward to it… and I’ll keep you posted!
