As much as I love being on a schedule, it is exhausting being on the move non-stop, and with 40 other people. Plus I’ve been on the go for more than two weeks.
So today, I opted out of the optional excursion just to laze around in my room, and catch up on some stuff like washing. Unfortunately, Whirling Dervishes have come a distant second to some rest and relaxation.
This tour is full. There are no spare seats. So while I have been lucky with companions in other tours, this one I have struggled with. There are only four single people, one of whom is an Aussie male in is late thirties. I got stuck with him the first two days, but one day was enough, because he is a complete tool, and if I had to spend another day with him I would have harmed him in a serious way. I managed to talk one of the other single passengers into swapping seats with me, so am happily sitting next to Greek lady who lives in Florida, who chats, but isn’t annoying. But honestly: dealing with this sort of people stuff is exhausting!
We are staying in Cappodocia for two nights, which means a sleep in tomorrow morning, with a full day tour of the area tomorrow. Cappodocia is a UNESCO protected site, so am looking forward to getting some fabulous pic. And hopefully, I will be feeling a bit more like me for the next part of the journey.
I loved Cappodocia. It’s like the Turkish equivalent to the wild Wild West.
